Software Engineer - Forward Deployed - K8S
D.C or New York
$150k-$350k + $100k Equity
My client is a leader in the defense tech space and they are looking to hire x8 forward deployed Kubernetes engineer for a long term program.
Your team will take charge of setting up and managing the entire fleet of highside Kubernetes clusters, ensuring the process is fully automated with no manual interventions. This will involve creating cutting-edge tools and contributing to essential CNCF components. Additionally, you'll focus on maintaining scalability, stability, and security across diverse compliance frameworks and infrastructure setups. A strong emphasis is placed on engineering discipline and operational excellence at scale, with a proactive approach to preventing production issues, conducting thorough root-cause analysis, and prioritizing automation and self-healing systems.
To be considered for this position you must have the following skills and experience
Minimum 2 years+ Experience with Kubernetes
Have a Kubernetes certification
Strong with AWS
Previous experience in a forward deployed or customer facing technical role
