Salary Range: $99,300 - $124,000

Technical responsibilities include :
- Work in a team environment, throughout the lifecycle of the program, using either Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
- Develop software products within all phases of the software lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement functional requirements .
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code for performance and efficiency.
- Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for software applications, including system architecture and design specifications.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in software technologies, especially in relation to complex systems.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other technical field or equivalent education and work experience
- Minimum of 5+ years software development experience
- Experience supporting military or defense programs.
- Demonstrated programming experience in C/C++ .
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
- Proven success in a fast-paced development environment and possess a willingness to take ownership, accept accountability, and thrive under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, document, test and debug simulation software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions
- Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions .
- Proven track record of building relationships, fostering collaboration and working cross-functionally with multidisciplinary teams.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret or higher clearance prior to the start of employment .
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access.
- Flexibility to support occasional overtime, weekend work, shift work and site travel (CONUS)
- Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Software Change Control, Change Management, and CI/CD tools such as: Atlassian tool suite, GitHub, GitLab, AND/OR Jenkins.
- Experience in an Agile/ SAFe leadership role (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Release Train Engineer, e.g.)
- Experience architecting, designing, modeling, implementing, integrating, and debugging OO C++ software running on Real-Time Operating systems such as: VxWorks, Integrity, AND/OR Real Time Embedded Linux.
- Demonstrated mentoring and coaching skills, and excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward).
- Time management and organizational skills to prioritize across concurrent program and functional responsibilities.
- Current Special Access Program (SAP) access.
