Job Title: VMware Architect

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled VMware Architect with a VCDX certification to join our dynamic IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in VMware Cloud and Virtualization technologies, with a strong track record of designing and implementing enterprise-grade VMware solutions. As a VMware Architect, you will play a crucial role in driving complex IT infrastructure projects, ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal performance across our virtualized environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and optimize VMware-based solutions with a focus on VMware Cloud Director (VCD), VMware vSphere, VMware NSX, and other VMware cloud technologies.
• Lead and manage end-to-end VMware solution architecture, from initial requirements gathering to deployment and ongoing support.
• Provide thought leadership and technical guidance to both internal teams and clients on VMware best practices and industry trends.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective VMware-based infrastructure solutions.
• Lead the creation of detailed solution architectures and technical documentation for VMware environments.
• Provide hands-on expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex VMware-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure solutions are aligned with client’s business goals, security standards, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning in VMware environments.
• Mentor junior engineers and help them enhance their technical capabilities related to VMware technologies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of VMware product offerings, certification updates, and industry trends.
• Engage in pre-sales and client-facing activities, including presenting VMware solution architectures and conducting workshops.
Qualifications:
• VMware Architect level certification is required (eg: VCDX-NV, VCAP-NV Design, VCAP-NV Deploy VCDX-CMA, VCDX-DCV, VCP-VCF Architect, VCAP-CMA Design, VCAP-CMA Deploy).
• Extensive experience with VMware Cloud Director (VCD), vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and related VMware technologies.
• Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale VMware virtualized infrastructures.
• Strong expertise in automation tools such as vRealize Automation (vRA), vRealize Orchestrator (vRO), and scripting languages (PowerCLI, Python, etc.).
• In-depth understanding of networking, storage, and security concepts within VMware environments.
• Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud strategies, including VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, or similar offerings.
• Familiarity with enterprise-grade backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery solutions in VMware environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent certifications are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with VMware Tanzu, Kubernetes, or container-based environments.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with VMware solutions.
• Experience with ITIL processes, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies.
