We are seeking a strong Senior Software/DevOps Engineer to support STRATCOM at Offutt AFB modernizing operating systems-level software and platform capabilities. Candidates must be passionate, energized, and excited to work on modern architectures and solve challenging problems for our customers.
Position Description (what you will do)
- Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments
- Plans and leads major technology assignments.
- Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others
- Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific, and general computing applications
- Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements
Requirements:
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 10+ years of technical experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 12+ years of technical experience
- Experience working with container and orchestration technologies (Ex. Kubernetes, Docker)
- Experience with DoD systems
- Experience working in DevSecOps delivery environments
- Understanding and competency in software development (hands on experience preferred)
- Ability to analyze software requirements
