Systems Engineer Senior

HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems
Provides identification and fixing of problems within existing systems, design and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems.
Participates in analysis, design and new construction of next generation IT systems.
Responsible for understanding the needs of the customers and the realities of commercially available IT products, and creating requirements that will allow implementation by the development team
Required skill areas include:
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Education: Bachelor's degree with at least ten (5) years of relevant experience. May substitute associate's degree with at least fifteen (15) years of relevant experience
• Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelors or 15+ years with an associate's degree
• Required Technical Skills: Experience as a Systems Engineer on one or more IT Platforms (Windows, Linux, Unix) with expert knowledge of IBM Maximo installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Security Clearance Level: Secret
• Required Skills and Abilities: CompTIA SEC+ Certification, Expert level knowledge of installation, configuration, and preventative maintenance of IBM Maximo, Server Administration (SQL Server, MS Access, Oracle), Programming expertise with knowledge of Python, PowerShell, Visual Basic
• Location: On Customer Site

- Server Administration (SQL Server, MS Access, Oracle)
- Installation, Configuration, and Preventative Maintenance of applications (IBM Maximo, PowerPlatform)
- Programming expertise with knowledge of Python, PowerShell, Visual Basic
- Background in cloud migration, specifically with Microsoft Azure
- Familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft 365
