  • Installing complex AV systems. Technicians must complete technical installation of AV systems, including equipment rack fabrication, site preparation, termination and calibration of audio and video equipment, and implementation of Crestron Digital Media and control systems. Also, trouble-shoot complex audio, video, switching and control systems problems as required.
  • Install, configure, integrate and test videoconferencing and integrated audio/visual technologies (videoconferencing, multimedia, displays, video projection systems, audio reinforcement systems, cameras, microphones, document cameras, streaming technologies, etc.) and A/V based collaboration technologies.
  • Integrate and configure A/V systems with Crestron control systems. Install and configure Crestron Digital Media products.
  • Develop and conduct on-site user and administrative training for the installed integrated A/V systems.
  • Assist in design, integration, testing and troubleshooting of various network and telecommunications systems including IP and ISDN networks.
  • Assist in customer site surveys, including collecting and recording existing detailed operational, functional and technical requirements, developing project scopes. This would be the design engineer responsibility not a technician.
  • Understanding plans and specifications to identify the materials and equipment needed to ensure compliance with project requirements. This would be the design engineer responsibility
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of electrical plans, blueprint and drawings.
  • Load and test touch panels and control programs
  • Troubleshoot hardware cabling.
  • Provide system testing and troubleshooting expertise on high-end A/V solutions as related to the remote-control sub-systems of the integrated solution


Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting AV systems, including video conferencing and integrated audio/visual technologies.
  • Experience in Extron and Crestron control products, Bi-amp audio devices, Tandberg codecs, and projection systems, as well as handling videoconference and conference room upgrades
  • Technical understanding of audio reinforcement systems, cameras, microphones, video projection systems, and streaming technologies.
  • Experienced with hardware cabling, signal flow, and networked AV systems.
  • Knowledge of ISDN and IP-based communication technologies for AV integration.
