ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Watch Officer to join our team in Stennis, MS.
The NOSC Senior Watch Officer leads all Watc h Operations and oversees 24/7 real-time network operations, cybersecurity incidents, and critical IT service disruptions to ensure mission continuity. T hey coordinate response efforts, provide situational awareness to leadership, andmanage operational workflows to enhance security posture and resilience.

The NOSC Senior Watch Officer leads all Watc h Operations and oversees 24/7 real-time network operations, cybersecurity incidents, and critical IT service disruptions to ensure mission continuity. T hey coordinate response efforts, provide situational awareness to leadership, andmanage operational workflows to enhance security posture and resilience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage the watch operations team during assigned shifts, ensuring continuous monitoring and protection of DHS networks; Train and mentor junior watch officers, ensuring they are proficient in their roles
- Coordinate and oversee incident response activities, ensuring timely and effective resolution; Prepare and submit detailed incident reports and other documentation as required
- Maintain situational awareness of all security events and incidents, providing updates and briefings to senior management.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for watch operations.
- Conduct regular shift briefings and debriefings to ensure smooth handover between shifts.
- Analyze security incidents and trends, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with other NOSC teams and external stakeholders to enhance overall security posture.
- Train and mentor junior watch officers, ensuring they are proficient in their roles.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations and a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field of study
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, security tools, and incident response processes.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications, such as, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
- Experience working in a government or defense environment, preferably DHS.
- Knowledge of broader cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD suitability is required prior to starting this position.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in an office environment and maneuver in data center and other IT equipment installation locations.
