Position Overview
RMGS is seeking skilled Tactical Medical Trainer to support the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) for the U.S. Department of State (DOS) security assistance program in the country of Uganda. The GPOI program’s mission is to strengthen the effectiveness of the United Nations (UN) and regional peace operations by enhancing partner countries’ capacities to prepare, deploy, and sustain peacekeepers and reinforcing UN and regional organizations’ performance and accountability frameworks.
Position is considered an Independent Contractor role.
As an Independent Contractor (IC) Tactical Medical Trainer you will work closely with other instructors planning, designing, andconducting twenty (20)trainingdays ofTactical MedicalTraining ofTrainers (TMTT) forup tofifty (50) Ugandan medicaltrainers.

- Minimum of ten (10) yearsU.S. or foreign military medical occupational specialty experience,includingserviceafterSeptember 11, 2001.
- Minimum certificationinTactical CombatCasualtyCare, Prehospital Trauma Life Support, paramedic, or otherrecognized pre-hospital medicalcertification which demonstratesexpertiseinadvanced tactical medicine.
- Relevant military/tactical medicine experience (operations ortraining, including civilian)in thelast5 years.
- Experienceworkingin a trauma hospital orconducting triage operations duringamilitary or peacekeeping operation.
- Experienceas a trainer toa foreignsecuritypartner, military orcivilian.
- Experienceworkingin Sub-SaharanAfrica.
