Must Haves:
The Assembly Integration and Test Focus Factory at L3 Harris Space and Airborne Systems is seeking an experienced manufacturing technician to join the precision structures fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have a background in composite materials and the ability to work within tight tolerance specifications. The role emphasizes the timely execution of assigned tasks with a focus on quality. Responsibilities include working both independently and as part of a team to fabricate, build, handle, repair, and integrate complex, unique composite parts and assemblies in a low-volume setting. This position involves direct collaboration with engineers on the design, development, and fabrication of new and existing products. Requires use of overhead cranes, equipment and rigging best practices. Verify quality of product in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Essential Functions:
Must Haves:
- Knowledge of measuring equipment (verniers, calipers, scales, etc.)
- Experience with cutting equipment (scissors/exactor blades etc.)
- Read engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics and detailed work instructions.
- Requires computer efficiency (MS Office/Word/Excel)
- Have experience with Working with very fragile and precise assemblies.
- Able to communicate with engineers and other employees on the floor

- Experience with composite materials.
- Perform work in manufacturing and/or prototyping environment.
- Read engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics and detailed work instructions.
- Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation.
- Work with very fragile and precise assemblies.
- Assist with identifying problems and suggest solutions.
- Adhere to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices.
- Work with a variety of hand tools and specialized equipment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 0-2 years of prior related experience.
