Country Intelligence Group is seeking a Full-Time Data Scientist to support our client in driving enterprise-wide IT resource management, system integration, and business transformation initiatives.
The selected candidate will lead efforts in coordinating IT portfolio and project management activities, integrating enterprise systems, and managing financial operations including cost recovery modeling and budget tracking.
This role includes direct collaboration with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze complex datasets, develop Minimum Viable Increments (MVIs), and produce strategic communications for leadership.
The candidate will support the integration of secure IT systems, oversee technical alignment with enterprise standards, and play a key role in business process improvement, policy development, and change management strategy.
The position requires strong experience in data visualization, resource optimization, and project scheduling using tools such as Microsoft Project and EVM.
The candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and senior leadership to deliver business value, ensure operational transparency, and support the mission through technology-driven solutions.
Tasks Performed:
• Provide system and requirements integration with the components that perform the IT development/engineering of capabilities in support of an enterprise portfolio and project management tool for which the Sponsor is the product owner.
• Manage and support the overall financial and business efforts including a new initiative related to cost recovery model.
• Assess and analyze data through conversations with IT and finance Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), as well as document data related to the subject.
• Support a startup integrated security initiative with a focus on analyzing current processes, approvals and training.
• Utilize communications with security SMEs and develop a roadmap.
• Integrate different requirements and capabilities from other offices across the broader community into a centralized system.
• Design, test, and integrate new security products.
• Integrate security products, including designs for all networks.
• Provide technical oversight and direction to designated boards for integrating new technology or major new mission capabilities.
• Engage with customers to determine the nature of requirement/analytic problem, evaluate options, and offer Information Technology (IT)-based recommendations.
• Resolve complex IT problems efficiently and accurately.
• Plan, test, and integrate new and upgraded versions of the relevant IT components, systems, applications, tools.
• Strategically plan new designs for integration into a budget reconciliation database structure, using knowledge of the characteristics of the systems being added to the structure and the specifications for database interfaces to ensure effective integration and optimal database performance.
• Support the development and monitoring of overall community-wide policy and procedures to support mission goals and operations.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
• Demonstrated minimum of 5 years of experience tracking budgetary funds.
• Demonstrated minimum of 5 years of experience with portfolio & resource management.
• Demonstrated experience successfully utilizing exceptional customer service working directly with business and technical customers to communicate organizational accomplishments, status and direction to all organizational levels.
• Demonstrated experience developing use cases that improve the ability to find information in a more timely fashion.
• Demonstrated experience in data analysis, requirements gathering, translations, and visualizing information in a clear way to explain the data at hand.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing project schedules, utilizing MS Project to identify critical tasks, and EVM for overall project status.
• Demonstrated experience with resource allocation and optimizing resource assignments by identifying key resources and the right set of skill sets required for a project.
• Demonstrated experience developing Minimum Viable Increments (MVIs) based on requirements gathered.
• Demonstrated experience and background in Business/Financial areas.
• Demonstrated experience successfully utilizing written communication skills to produce publishable documents.
• Demonstrated experience working on both development and integration projects.
• Demonstrated experience with Service Now. (Preferred)
• Demonstrated experience with the onsite customer domain. (Preferred)
• Demonstrated experience with the budget process and culture. (Preferred)
