Senior Network Engineer
Location: Fairfax, Virginia
Clearance: Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly

Job Description:
Be part of a small but high-performing senior-level networks team responsible for architecting, designing, installing, implementing, and maintaining a large, multi-agency, mission-essential network infrastructure with strict security, fault tolerance, and latency requirements. This role involves work at the rack level, within data centers, and across transport layers. The team supports multiple programs with shared agency requirements and presents consistent technical challenges tied to evolving mission needs. Work is primarily on-site at the customer location, with some travel required, including potential international travel. This position offers strong opportunities for leadership within areas of expertise and supporting responsibilities across others.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in network engineering, design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Proficiency with Juniper (preferred) and/or Cisco networking devices.
- Certifications with Juniper (preferred) and/or Cisco networking devices.
- Proficiency with network protocols including TCP/IP, IPv4, UDP (and multicast), TLS, VPLS, GRE.
- Experience configuring, maintaining, or troubleshooting:
- Routing Protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
- EVPN over BGP/VXLAN or MPLS/VXLAN
- Multicast, STP, VLANs, and trunking
- LAN and/or WAN
- Network security including firewall and ACL
- Security+ or CISSP certification.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed.
Desired Skills:
- Juniper certifications (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE).
- Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP).
- Experience working collaboratively within high-performance teams.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- Experience networking with Linux or BSD systems, including system administration.
- Multicast protocol experience.
- Ability to own engineering solutions and present network designs to internal and external stakeholders.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
