Introduction

The Air Force and Combatant Commands Business Group of SAIC is seeking a Senior Software System Engineer to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.
SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation's information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program. This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.
Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Job Description
- Works directly with the Program Management (PM) NISS Principle Engineer to coordinate, evaluate and track tasking.
- Lead AoAs, Spikes in JIRA, and other technical tasking related to PM NISS software sustainment.
- Provides engineering support to the full range of software release management actions to include oversight of successful development and rollout of application releases into production and when required, reporting failed releases and providing after action reports (AAR), IAW customer and DoD policies and procedures and commonly utilized industry best practices.
- Builds platforms and infrastructure needed to support automation of application development and release.
- Supports implementation and improvement of the infrastructure with DEVSECOPS automation in IT service capacity and demand management.
- Collaborates with customers and team members as part of an Agile lifecycle to gather, understand, and refine platform and application requirements.
- Follows DevSecOps best practices for full security integration, infrastructure as code, operational visibility, and site reliability engineering practices to create scalable and highly reliable systems.
- Supports coordination of the content and schedule of rollout plans, testing plans, and all other documentation pertinent to a release.
- Provides critical review of all the release and change collaterals and supports review and validation of transition phase deliverables and procedures, testing of software and/or hardware, and completion of knowledge transfer between teams.
- Supports PRR and PRR Checklist completion.
- Supports creation, maintenance, and publishing of release deployment plans and calendars.
- Supports risk assessment and management in relation to release and change deployment, including the development of cutover and roll back plans.

It is required that the Senior Software System Engineer have the following qualifications:
- BA/BS with eighteen (18) or more years of Software Systems Engineering experience.
- Five (5) + years experience in DEVSECOPS.
- Secret clearance.
- Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence, Atlassian Tool Suite tools.
