Job Summary
Supports NIWC Atlantic Shore Modernization IPT in the day-to-day responsibilities of overseeing all aspects of the NAVWAR and NIWC Atlantic Shore Installation and NAVIFOR Fleet Readiness Certification Board (FRCB) processes. Supports NIWC Atlantic and multiple AORs Installation Management Competency business processes. Works with Regional Shore Installation Managers (RSIMs) and support personnel to ensure required deliverables for shore installations are developed, utilized, and stored in the NIWC Enterprise Technical Data Repository (SPIDER) and the NIWC Atlantic Installation Management Database (IMOD Tracker). Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and meet all deadlines.
Hybrid schedule is possible, but subject to change at any time. Travel is not usually required, however it is possible.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for using the MODTracker and SPIDER databases, extract and analyze data for NIWC Atlantic Shore IPT and RSIM Leads and NIWC LANT Project Engineers (PEs). Create Shore Installation Management reports and track installation status for all tasks in NIWC Atlantic Geographic Area of Responsibility. Candidates will also work directly with OCF Shore PEM. Great communication skills to work with various AOR Project Engineers to ensure task status and SITREPs are accurate and up to date; track status of installation documentation deliverables, and are uploaded to the SPIDER Technical Data Library, ready for RSIM approval. At the direction of the RSIM, develop draft Weekly Activity Reports (WARs) detailing issues requiring upper management attention, status of ashore installations in progress and readiness status of future ashore installation. Required to provide Project Managers with a brief monthly activity report detailing activities, accomplishments, issues, and corrective actions. Familiarization of technical documentation and management.
Candidates will directly support LANT RSIM. Onsite/In Office support will be required at Juliens Creek.
Qualifications and Skills
Required knowledge and years of experience
Must have at least six (6) years hands-on experience incorporating SIPH/FRCB standards and requirements. Must have a strong background with NAVWAR shore installations process. Must have a strong understanding of MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Access, and Excel. Knowledge of SPIDER and MODTracker Installation Databases. Utilizing NIWC LANT/Navy databases. Familiar with the NAVWAR Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH).
Education Requirements
High School Diploma. Navy Background preferred.
