The Opportunity:
NexTech Solutions (NTS) is actively seeking an Offensive Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. As an Offensive Cybersecurity Specialist, you will conduct business intelligence activities, vulnerability assessments, company investigations, and penetration testing assessments. This individual will be part of a team that investigates both technical and non-technical attributes of organizations while analyzing potential risks from publicly available information. You will perform regular investigations, analyze data, and prepare technical reports and briefings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Investigate vendor data architectures, cyber footprints, and supporting technology stacks, utilizing tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and analysis of publicly available and commercially available information.
• Coordinate vendor engagements and develop cybersecurity questionnaires to discuss their security posture, current protocols, processes, and mitigation efforts.
• Write technical reports for stakeholders, documenting findings, risk analysis, and recommendations for remediation and/or mitigation measures.
• Examine external-facing vendor infrastructure to determine if any foreign presence exists, including servers or services in foreign countries.
• Function as a security consultant to provide analysis and recommendations, strategies, and reports.
• Utilize both automated and manual investigation techniques to further research a vendor's footprint and validate preliminary findings.
• Participate in discussions, briefs, and stakeholder engagements as the technical subject matter expert for security and vulnerability research.
• Conduct threat hunting and emulation to assess information systems for cyber resilience.
• Participate in team discussions to develop and improve security roadmaps and strategies.
• Administer penetration testing independently, utilizing compliance scans and assessing the risk of vulnerabilities for various systems to identify misconfigurations in system implementation.
• Continuously improve security assessment methodology and TTPs.
• Work directly with the team to identify, develop, and deploy custom threat detection monitoring.
