Must Haves:
  • High School Diploma with 4 years' experience or 2 years of college and two years relevant experience
  • Ability to lift forty lbs. with occasional 2 person lifts
  • Instructions provided by facility manager
  • Work is of limited scope, typically on smaller, routine task-related activities.
  • Perform on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration.
  • Handle basic, non-complex products and/or problems, referring more complex problems to higher-level technicians.
  • Uses experience and technical skills with preventative maintenance and system operations to determine service requirements.
  • Advise manager of preventative maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken.
  • Works in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Must work in a safe manner daily and ensure that all safety measures are always taken.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Description:
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including all trades (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.). Performs trades work, such as carpentry or painting, in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. Requires knowledge of applicable standards or regulations and may require specific trade certifications.

  • Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations.

  • Communicates with contacts typically within the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement.

  • Follows established processes to complete tasks. Identifies problems and issues in straightforward situations. Escalates issues to supervisor for resolution.
  • Works to achieve operational targets within the job area which has some impact on the overall achievement of results for the team.
  • Work is somewhat limited in scope, typically on smaller, less structured task-related activities.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
