Position Summary:
Redhawk Administrative Services, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Level IV Data Analyst to lead mission-critical data remediation efforts for the Department of the Navy (DON). This position plays a key role in supporting DON's General Fund audit readiness and enabling the successful transition of commands into the Navy ERP system by identifying and cleansing material data quality issues across financial systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Navy ERP & SAP Financial Management Support:
• Conduct data profiling, analysis, and remediation of material data issues impacting the Department of the Navy's General Fund financial statements.
• Develop and execute data cleansing strategies aligned with audit remediation priorities and DON audit timelines.
• Identify root causes of data inconsistencies and anomalies across financial data sets, including accounting, funds management, and asset data.
• Perform traceability analyses to reconcile data across systems and support the validation of internal controls and financial reporting accuracy.
• Lead the development of technical data cleansing artifacts such as queries, scripts, mapping documents, and cleansing rule sets using SQL, Python, or related tools.
• Collaborate with ERP and financial system teams to support pre-migration data readiness for US Fleet Forces Command, Pacific Fleet Command, and Reserve Forces Command.
• Coordinate across legacy and target systems to prepare high-priority data for migration into Navy ERP, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and audit traceability.
• Support the documentation and delivery of key data remediation outputs including data quality dashboards, cleansing logs, audit support files, and remediation status reports.
• Provide technical guidance to junior analysts and collaborate with system SMEs, business systems analysts, and government stakeholders to align cleansing efforts with broader audit and transition goals.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field.
System Experience
• Experience supporting IT Development (SDLC - Technical documentation, requirements, design, testing, change management or deployment) or creating/maintaining databases or data and analytics experience (creation of data visualizations, data analytic reports, data cleansing scripts and processes or performing technical data analytics) for State or Federal Government agencies or large, complex companies (greater than 1,000) employees.
• Experience working with or supporting Navy ERP (SAP) or similar federal financial management systems preferred.
Clearance Requirement
• Active Secret Clearance (required)
Experience
• Minimum 9 years of data analytics or data quality experience in federal or enterprise environments, including 6+ years in a lead analyst or project role.
• Proven experience executing large-scale data cleansing or remediation initiatives tied to ERP implementation, audit remediation, or financial system modernization.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, or other data wrangling tools).
• Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis, build audit-supportive data documentation, and reconcile complex data sets across systems.
