At GCI, we solve the hard problems. As a Continuous Improvement and Integration Lead (CIIL), a typical day will include the following duties:

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Continuous Improvement and Integration Lead (CIIL) will serve on the Program Management Office (PMO) team to manage projects and drive innovation in meeting our customer's mission and requirements. The CIIL will manage the program's innovation roadmap and JIRA tasks required to move the program forward. This lead will chair the program's innovation council, helping to coordinate input from occupational leads, program leadership, and PMO members; he or she will integrate that insight with requirements and process focus from program customers. The CIIL will serve as a key interface with customer stakeholders, team members, and corporate contacts to enhance our offerings to our Sponsors. This lead will conduct periodic meetings or interviews with the contract officer's technical representative and lead government technical managers to fine-tune the PMO's understanding of new process requirements and to help deliver excellent results. The CIIL will focus on providing metrics and data analysis to the PMO and our customers as a means of driving positive change and innovation.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Engineering or Engineering Science
  • Required: 12-15 years of experience in system engineering, innovation and process improvement, data analysis, test engineering, and project management.
  • Highly Desired: Master's Degree (MS) in System Engineering


DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
  • Process improvement experience
  • Systems integration methodology and system engineering experience
  • Experience working with cyber technology groups
  • Experience verifying customer requirements
  • Project and team management expertise
  • System and software code test engineer experience
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • Data visualization methodology and data analysis
  • Database and dashboard administration, design, and deployment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains Program Innovation Roadmap
  • Facilitates weekly roadmap/JIRA status meetings
  • Maintains JIRA Kanban board to track projects and associated activities
  • Briefs Roadmap status updates during monthly PMR
  • Create the monthly Technical Operations Status Report; a key monthly deliverable
  • Lead the program innovation council
  • Plan and execute monthly external innovation meetings
  • Acts as a project manager for PMO initiatives
  • Lead projects and initiatives to improve program efficiency and mission performance
  • Gathers and documents project requirements, reports status and documents results
  • Engages with key stakeholder and team members
  • Conducts meetings, interviews and surveys with key program stakeholders
  • Meets with team members to understand their processes
  • Identifies duplication, inefficiencies, poor workflows and/or communication breakdowns
  • Recommends and documents improvements
  • Serves as test engineer for development on program portal
  • Interfaces with program data engineer and software engineer to provide feedback on new changes directed by stakeholders.
  • Evaluates portal and other system features to identify means for future improvement.
  • Identifies metrics as a means to plan for program improvement and innovation
  • Identifies and implements quality management approach and plan for the program
  • Manages baseline requirement process for the program, per guidance from our Customers
