This role is ideal for a student eager to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting and contribute to meaningful projects. The intern will be supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Transformation Task Force Digital Architecture Directorate.
The mission of the Transformation Task Force is to lead continuous transformation across MDA using modern frameworks, models, and tools that improve decision advantage to field capability to the warfighter at speed and scale. The Digital Architecture Directorate supports this mission through:

The mission of the Transformation Task Force is to lead continuous transformation across MDA using modern frameworks, models, and tools that improve decision advantage to field capability to the warfighter at speed and scale. The Digital Architecture Directorate supports this mission through:
- Facilitating representation of both the Missile Defense System MDS) System of Systems Architecture and the MDA Enterprise in Government Reference Architectures (GRA)
- Instituting Best Practice and Standards across MDA (Examples: MOSA, DevSecOps, MBSE, etc.)
- Model-Based Enterprise (MBE) Adoption
- Aligning Technical Tool Requirements for Common Usage across MDA.
Duration and Location
- This is a summer internship, lasting 12 weeks.

Key Responsibilities
During your internship, you may...
- Assist in gathering and organizing information about existing applications and technologies.
- Help create and maintain architectural diagrams and documentation.
- Participate in meetings with stakeholders to understand their needs.
- Contribute to the analysis of current systems and technologies.
- Assist in researching emerging technologies and trends.
- Help prepare presentations and reports for peers/stakeholders.
- Support the team in maintaining the enterprise architecture repository.
- Assist in the development of architectural standards and guidelines.
- Participate in project planning and tracking activities.
- Contribute to the creation of roadmaps and transition plans.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong academic record with a passion for system engineering and technology
- Experience with computer systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance
Requirements
- US Citizen
- At least 18 years old
- Actively enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited educational institution
- In good academic standing with a grade point average of 3.0
- Commitment to a full-time schedule during the internship period
