We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Aviation Military Analyst with deep knowledge in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T). This role is vital to supporting Army Aviation modernization through strategic analysis, concept development, and capability assessments. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct organizational analysis in support of formation-based assessments and simulation activities.
  • Analyze Aviation units as part of annual capability needs assessments.
  • Tailor methodologies to evaluate tasks, conditions, standards, and gaps across Army Aviation formations.
  • Author, revise, and support the development of JCIDS and other emerging requirements documents.
  • Review existing requirements related to manned/unmanned platforms.
  • Assess current capabilities in the context of Large-Scale Combat Operations (LSCO).
  • Evaluate system effectiveness in operational environment
REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least 15 years of Army Aviation operations experience, including planning, training, and executing missions.
  • Instructor Pilot or Operator qualification in manned/unmanned aircraft with a Master Aviator or Master Aircrew rating.
  • Operational experience executing UAS operations within tactical Army Aviation units.
  • Prior experience in combat developments and participation in Joint Working Groups.
  • Skilled in DOTMLPF-P assessments, organizational management, and simulation support for vertical lift and fixed wing aircraft.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently produce high-quality technical documents (white papers, concept papers, requirements documents).
  • Familiarity with JCIDS documentation processes and technical writing.
  • Experience reviewing, editing, and delivering content at a graduate-level quality.
  • Organizational leadership of teams ranging from 35 to 400+ personnel.
  • Hands-on involvement in experimentation, concept development, and scenario planning.
  • Participation in Army-level war games (e.g., Unified Quest, Challenge).
  • Source selection committee participation and experience fielding aviation systems.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:
  • Operational deployment to a theater of operations.
  • Training Army Aviation formations in Division, Corps, and Theater environments.
  • Completion of "How the Army Runs" training or equivalent.
