Job Description:

The Project Controls Manager is responsible for compiling and reviewing project financial data to be reported up through Management, Executives, and the Board of Directors. The role also includes coordinating support for financial reporting to external stakeholders as required per the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) or other applicable governance.

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 4+ years of related finance or business analysis experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of FFP, T&M, and Cost-Plus contracts.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Excel, Sharepoint and Outlook).
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide consolidated financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff.
  • Analyze the company's actual performance compared to the business plans and forecasts.
  • Mentor team members on areas for improved financial analysis and obtain an understanding of variances in billings, trended cost, revenue, or potential for margin improvement.
  • Coordinate and review Annual Operating Plan build-ups.
  • Review team activities and work products to ensure practices are in accordance with company policies and GAAP.

Public Trust Clearance:

Many of our roles require the hired candidate to go through public trust clearance. A minimum of 3 years of stay in the U.S. within the last 5 years is required to be eligible to qualify for public trust clearance sponsorship.

Work Location:

Tria Federal, operates primarily in the Eastern Time Zone, with standard work hours from 9 AM - 5 PM ET and flexibility around start and end times based on team needs. We have open-collaboration offices in Arlington, VA, and Baltimore, MD for those who prefer to work on-site.

Please Note: Work location requirements vary by program. While many roles support remote work, some projects may require partial or full on-site presence based on contract and client needs. Specific work location expectations will be communicated during the hiring process.
