Our team works at the cutting edge of systems engineering, modeling, simulation, design, and RF signal and data processing techniques. We use state of the art engineering tools to support advancing the Army's next generation of radar systems for air and ground platforms. Working in a laboratory environment, you'll help us develop software and hardware approaches to improve signal/data processing techniques and envision new radar concepts. You'll be a key resource for us to develop technologies for modern radars in support of rapidly-evolving Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) requirements, to support systems designed to protect our warfighters and enable battlefield supremacy.

Duties
  • Develop models and detailed simulations to support system design evaluation
  • Conduct data analyses to assess system performance
  • Develop use cases and advanced concepts for radar systems in peer-peer battlefield environments
  • Write verification plans and test procedures showing traceability to system and software specifications
  • Support integration and test, evaluate test results, investigate discrepancies, provide technical assessment of anomalies, and drive issues to resolution
  • Participate in landmark reviews of radar system products with internal and external customers, program and senior leadership, and multi-disciplinary engineering teams
  • Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge of radar electronic attack, support, and protection approaches and technologies

Required Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of fundamental radar principles and digital signal processing, including beamforming, waveform design, and electronic protection of radar systems
  • Knowledge of radar algorithms, software and hardware testing, data analysis, and modeling and simulation
  • Familiarity with the implementation of software and hardware to create high-fidelity simulation environments
  • Experience with different radar modes, such as Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Ground Moving Target Indicator (GMTI) radar, and air surveillance radar
  • Deep familiarity with radar systems and subsystems (hardware and software) and the signal processing chain
  • Exceptional research, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements and the availability of new technologies
  • STEM BS degree, preferably EE
  • At least five years of directly relevant experience
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI
  • US citizen

Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in languages like C++, Matlab, or Python
  • Knowledge of open architectures applied to radar modeling and simulation
  • Broad experience with the systems engineering lifecycle, including stakeholder requirements definition, requirements analysis, architecture design, implementation, integration, verification, validation and transition
