We are experiencing growth and looking for a Field Engineer for our beautiful Fort Irwin, CA location!
What You Will Be Doing
As the Field Engineer you will:
- Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution.
- Assess product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
- Conduct technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives.
-Act as local on-site representative to customer's organization.
- Perform repairs, stock, store, and issue of field tactical trainer for the Javelin program at a single person location.
- Position supports training at the National Training Center near Barstow, CA.
- You will work independently to achieve program objectives, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a dynamic environment.
-The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced maintenance depot setting, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities to meet program demands.
- Position requires moving containers in order facilitate maintenance and supply actions.
-The successful candidate will utilize commercial and program-specific test equipment, following site-specific procedures and engineering drawings, to diagnose and repair electronic hardware with minimal supervision.
- You will collaborate with customers to provide excellent communication and support, fostering strong partnerships and ensuring mutual understanding of needs and goals.
- Additionally, you will manage daily supply operations on a small scale, including inventory management, shipping, receiving, and maintaining accurate records to ensure efficient supply chain management.
- Work will be performed on-site full time at Fort Irwin, California.
-Must be able to lift and move 35 pounds.

Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including schematics.
They must also possess electronic troubleshooting capability, with the ability to fault-isolate to individual components.
Familiarity with electro-optical sensor hardware and software is required, as well as experience with commercial and military electronics maintenance, including hand tool operation and maintenance.
A 4-year college degree or equivalent experience is also necessary.
Desired Skills:
The ideal candidate will have experience with cable and harness repair, as well as adhesive and bonding expertise.
Strong mechanical skills with hand tools are also desirable, along with familiarity with test equipment operation, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also preferred.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $60,600 - $106,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
