Mechanical Design Engineer

Piper Companies is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a innovative team located in San Jose, CA and work onsite 5 days per week . The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will develop and implement system-level designs for mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring functionality and reliability.

Responsibilities for the Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Develop and implement system-level designs for mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring functionality and reliability.
• Utilize Creo software for creating detailed mechanical designs, including 3D models and technical drawings.
• Design and optimize components using sheet metal, injection molding, and die casting techniques.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing personnel, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs.

Qualifications for the Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically with servers, routers, switches, and related equipment.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance
• Hands-on experience with system-level design.
• Proficiency in Creo CAD software.
• Strong expertise in sheet metal, injection molding, and die casting.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Compensation/Benefits for the Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Salary/Rate Range: $90,000 - $110,000 annually
• Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays.
