Location: Onsite at Ramstein Air Base-Kaiserslautern, Germany

Job Summary:
Provides design, configuration, implementation and activation support for USAFE A&AS related software programs. Conducts software analysis, including design and testing. Implements software changes and installs upgrades. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves technical problems and system anomalies.
Essential Functions:
- Identifies software problems
- Provides technical consultation and coordinates projects regarding system design and implementation
- Develops tests and implements computer programs and subsystems
- Provides hardware/software support and communications design
- Resolves problems between interfacing systems
- Performs database/software application enhancements such as the process of analysis, design, implementation (coding), and test of a new requirement into Mission Partner portals and Internet, Electronic Personnel System (ePS), Master Events Management System (MEMS) and Web MEMS
- Investigates, diagnoses, and corrects errors in the software undiscovered during the testing phase of software development
- Designs software/databases, develops software/databases, and tests software and/or databases
- Other Duties as assigned
Position Requirements
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information management, or related discipline plus 3 years recent specialized experience; or Associates Degree in computer science, engineering, information management, or related discipline plus 7 years recent specialized experience, or Major IT Certification plus 7 years recent specialized experience, or 11 years recent specialized experience.
- IA Technical Level II certification (SEI 264) or IAM Level I certification.
- Must have familiarity with a majority of the following disciplines: MS BackOffice programming (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Exchange, and SQL Database Server); MS SQL; MS Access database management; HTML programming; Java Script programming.
- Desired, but not required skills, are Web design concepts, Visual Basic, MS Internet Information Server programming, Cold Fusion Programming, Oracle, Fusebox 3.0 (a standard framework and methodology for building web-based applications), and C and C++ Programming.
