Job Description:
Innovatus Technology Consulting is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team in a fully remote role. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives. This position requires expertise in Databricks and the Medallion architecture to build and automate ETL workflows, transforming raw data into bronze, silver, and gold data tables for actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Databricks to support data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Implement Medallion architecture to create and maintain bronze, silver, and gold data tables for structured, high-quality datasets.
• Build and automate ETL workflows to process and transform raw data into usable formats for analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with organizational and government standards.
• Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance for scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Document processes, workflows, and technical specifications to ensure clarity and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on data pipeline development.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks for data processing, analytics, and pipeline orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of Medallion architecture and experience creating ETL workflows for bronze, silver, and gold data tables.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala for data manipulation and scripting.
• Active Secret Clearance is mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Jupiter-Advana platform for data integration and analytics.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Qlik and Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
• Experience with AWS services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, Athena) for cloud-based data solutions.
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance best practices.
• Certifications in Databricks, AWS, or related data engineering technologies.
• Prior experience in government or DoD environments.
