An average day:
As Government Contracts Administrator II, you will serve as an essential administrative backbone for the company's federal contracting operations. This professional performs routine contract management functions including document preparation, maintaining information in government systems (GSA Assist, WAWF, SAM.gov), and managing closeout documentation - while assisting guidance on more complex negotiations and risk assessments. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, solid communication skills, and working knowledge of government contracting systems, making it an important intermediate role that maintains operational continuity while developing expertise to eventually take on higher-level responsibilities within Epsilon's government contracting framework. As Government Contracts Administrator II, you will serve as an essential administrative backbone for the company's federal contracting operations. This professional performs routine contract management functions including document preparation, maintaining information in government systems (GSA Assist, WAWF, SAM.gov), and managing closeout documentation - while assisting guidance on more complex negotiations and risk assessments. The position requires meticulous attention to detail, solid communication skills, and working knowledge of government contracting systems, making it an important intermediate role that maintains operational continuity while developing expertise to eventually take on higher-level responsibilities within Epsilon's government contracting framework. In this position you will:
- Prepare documents, drafts amendments, track correspondence, and maintain documentation related to contracts, sub-contracts (SubKs), and proposals.
- Enter and maintain modification and award information in government contract management systems including GSA Assist, WAWF, and SAM.gov.
- Understand contractual obligations, identify potential risks, communicate key term and conditions, and assist the project teams with compliance.
- Support negotiations, prepare correspondence, contract amendments, and flow downs for subcontracts, and maintain documentation.
- Assist in the negotiation of subcontract terms and conditions, change orders, and other commercial-oriented matters through closeout.
- Using a software platform, coordinate the flow of related documents for contracts such as certificates of insurance, compliance questionnaires, required training certificates, etc.
- Participate in program reviews, status briefings, and customer interaction whenever the contracting office is involved.
- Prepare scheduling details and coordination of requirements related to contract execution.
- Manage documentation for government contract closeout procedures and prepare related closeout documentation.
- Initiate and maintain a network of communication with contracting specialists/officers.
- May conduct reviews and otherwise assist with the management of Epsilon's compliance programs in accordance with ISO or other standards.
- Participate in other projects, as required.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related Business Management discipline and 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of High School Diploma, education, certification, and experience.
- Experience with contract development and administration or other related experience responsible for drafting, reviewing, amending, negotiating, and executing contracts.
- Experience with government contract management systems such as GSA Assist, WAWF, FPDS-NG, and SAM.gov.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specifically tracking.
- High level of professionalism in dealing with government agencies, customers, management, and staff.
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet multiple deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving/judgment skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with confidential information.
- Ability to attain and retain an active Public Trust or DoD Security Clearance.
- Strong team player; self-assured, confident, and goal-oriented.
- Strong ethics and a high level of personal and professional integrity.
- Previous experience as a Paralegal or in a law firm in a contract administrative support role.
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliance or other statute-related contracting compliance.
- Experience using a management software tool for tracking assets, risk, documents, tasks, or contracts.
- Experience in risk management processes.
- Experience in change management processes.
- Experience with any of the following certifications/compliance matrices: ISO 27000, ISO 20000, ISO 9000, CMMI, ISACA ITAF, FISMA, FEDRAMP, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, SOX, SOC, or another relevant standard.
- Occasional overtime is required.
- Occasional travel to the Epsilon Headquarters in NC or other local, regional, and overnight national travel required for training, conferences, and visiting other Epsilon locations.
