The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Junior Virtual Desktop Interface Virtualization Specialist to provide support and services to USSTRATCOM in supporting the design, implementation and management of VDI solutions. This position involves assisting in the implementation, management and maintenance of VDI environments, ensuring that all services meet operational requirements and performance standards.
The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract.

This position involves assisting in the implementation, management and maintenance of VDI environments, ensuring that all services meet operational requirements and performance standards.

Responsibilities:
Virtualization Specialist, Junior:
- Applies fundamental concepts in planning, engineering, installing, configuring, maintaining, operating, defending, troubleshooting, and repairing virtual desktop infrastructure and servers
- Provides virtual desktop management services
- Works with senior specialist to secure day-to-day operations by maintaining, managing, monitoring, and administering, including patching for server systems, Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) and non-IAVA compliance, and administering server systems on designated networks
- Assists in maintaining and administering hardware, software, firmware, and OSs for designated physical and virtual servers
- Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) as required by mission needs
- Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership to meet mission requirements and support USSTRATCOM objectives. Depending on experience and team structure, this role may involve working under direct supervision or potentially providing guidance, training, or supervision to others
Qualifications:
Required:
- Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of virtualization technologies, particularly VDI solutions
- Required 8140 Cert within 6 months of start date: 451 - Basic; A+ or CND or Network+; OR Applicable degree ABET accredited/CAE designated; OR Training
AND
- Additional Cert: VMWare VCP certification desired
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Willingness to work as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative work environment
