About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Conversion/Data Specialist to join us.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analyze the existing data structures in PeopleSoft and confirm the necessary transformations for Data Warehouse compatibility.
  • Extract data from PeopleSoft using SQL and other relevant tools.
  • Creation of efficient data structures that support reporting and analytics.
  • Expertise in dimensional modeling and entity-relationship modeling).
  • Develop and implement data transformation processes to clean, standardize, and enhance the quality of the data during migration.
  • Create data mapping documents that outline the relationships between source and target data fields.
  • Utilize ETL tools for data integration.
  • Design and implement ETL processes to load data into the Data Warehouse, ensuring efficient performance and data integrity.
  • Validate data accuracy and completeness post-migration to ensure that all data has been successfully transferred.
  • Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and data security protocols, including encryption, data masking, and compliance with regulations (e.g., PII, HIPAA).
  • Recommending and analyzing the possibility of Cloud Data Warehousing.

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems. 8 years of total experience needed.

Additional Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in data migration projects, specifically from PeopleSoft to a Cloud BasedData Warehouse system.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
  • Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, Informix, and DB2.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.


Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with cloud-based Data Warehouse solutions (e.g., Oracle FDIP, Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery).
  • Relevant certifications in data management or ETL tools are a plus.

Location: Washington, DC/Remote
  • Can be remote within the US with occasional onsite in DMV.
