About the Role:

Aquila is seeking a Systems Administrator t o join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. Aquila Technology is looking for a system administrator with skill set in the administration of Linux and Apache based systems, and desirable to have experience with supporting the Atlassian software suite (Jira, Confluence). This person should have experience maintaining Oracle Apex/WebLogic including hardening, patching and upgrading. This person will also help to remediate security vulnerabilities on the servers with applications and instances that the team supports.

There are a few requirements for the position:

• Must be a U.S Citizen- Must have an Active Secret Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
• Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
• Must be within 100 miles of worksite (Lexington, MA)

Must Have

• Clearance Level Currently holds a Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance)
• 5 years - Software
• 5 years - Administering Apache based applications
• 5 years - Administrating Oracle Weblogic
• 5 years - Web Applications support/Content Management Systems Support (Drupal, WordPress etc.)
• 2 years - Software Tools
• 2 years - ShareLaTeX
• 5 years - Systems
• 5 years - Database (Mysql, Oracle etc)
• 10 years - Linux Environment
• 10 years - Systems Administration
• 10 years - Technologies including DNS, DHCP, Proxy and Load Balancing

Nice to Have

• Degree Level Bachelor's Degree
• Understanding of installing Drupal or WordPress or PHP based web servers and modules is desirable.

Primary duties include but not limited to:

• Candidate will help in administering and managing applications running on Linux server and the dependent add-ons. May interface with customer to understand requirements and to remediate issues. Assist in patching and upgrading the applications and pre-requisites.
• Candidates will work with other team members and development team to help automating tasks using containerization and kubernetes/OpenShift technologies.
• Work with all Team members to update existing Knowledge Bases (Teams, Confluence, JIRA, SharePoint, Connections) to reflect current operating practices.
• Candidate would be good in creating and maintaining processes related to the sysadmin work with in the team
• Help resolve security vulnerabilities and work on hardening systems working with the IT Security group

Must Have:

• Experience with Linux.

• ShareLaTeX.
• Experience Administering Oracle Weblogic.
