Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Technology Systems Administrator to provide technical expertise and operational support for the Hill Air Force Base (HAFB) Little Mountain Test Facility (LMTF) Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program. The selected candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintaining Windows systems and hardware interfaces across classified and unclassified environments.

This role requires an advanced understanding of IT concepts, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work independently while implementing innovative solutions for non-standard equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess computing requirements and collaborate on system needs
• Perform a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities
• Install, configure, and maintain multi-platform systems hardware, software, and components
• Develop, design, integrate, and maintain computer applications
• Plan and manage software and hardware releases across the system
• Ensure systems conform to architectural objectives and compliance standards
• Evaluate system readiness, performance, and supportability
• Troubleshoot and restore computing services for routine and complex operations
• Integrate and implement security solutions into information systems

Required Qualifications:

• CompTIA Security+ Certification (or equivalent meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 requirements)
• 5+ years of experience in Windows Server & Desktop OS (Server 2016-2022, Windows 10-11)
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing Windows Systems
• Experience troubleshooting operating system issues and installation problems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology or related field
• 3+ years of experience with Cisco switches and configurations
• 5+ years of experience in broad-range systems and application support
• 5+ years of experience in Active Directory (AD) maintenance and configuration
• 5+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting for system automation
• 3+ years of experience developing scripts for OS deployment and configuration
• 5+ years of experience managing VMware virtual environments
• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and resolving system issues effectively
• 5+ years of experience integrating security solutions like McAfee, Splunk, HBSS

Education & Experience:

Education and experience typically include:

• Advanced technical education (Bachelor's degree) and 5+ years of related work experience
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience (e.g., Master's degree + 3 years of experience or PhD with relevant experience)
• 9+ years of related work experience can substitute for formal education requirements.
