Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Documents Manager to join a Federal Program located in Annapolis Junction, MD . The Documents manager will support Homeland Security by developing, maintaining, and auditing controlled documents.
Responsibilities of the Documents Manager include:
· Create, revise, and manage technical documents, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and time-sensitive Organizational Development Plans (ODPs).
· Assist in preparing, updating, and submitting contract deliverables in alignment with client requirements and deadlines.
· Oversee the lifecycle of policies, procedures, and work instructions within the Controlled Document Process.
· Maintain accurate document classification, version control, and revision tracking in accordance with compliance standards.
· Perform audits to identify outdated documentation and coordinate with stakeholders to implement necessary updates.
· Contribute to change management efforts by updating documentation in response to Change Requests or new initiatives.
· Track and evaluate the Controlled Document Process, recommending enhancements to improve compliance and efficiency.
· Partner with management and project teams to evaluate documentation impacts across operational functions.
· Provide administrative support to ensure adherence to contract and documentation requirements
Qualifications for the Documents Manager include:
· 4+ years of technical writing required with experience in writing processes, SOPs, deliverables, and other contractual documentation from scratch.
· 2+ years of experience creating and maintaining group Share Point
· Support systems requiring continuous 24x7x365 availability, with a readiness to fulfill recall obligations and participate in a rotational on-call schedule.
· Active Secret Clearance is required.
Compensation for the Documents Manager includes:
· Salary Range: $43,000 - $50,000 depending on experience
