Position Description
Serco is seeking a Military Trainer - Knowledge Management Analyst to join our team in Suffolk, VA, supporting the Joint Staff J7 Deputy Director Joint Training (DDJT), Plans and Operations Division (POD). In this role, you will manage knowledge and information flows, support joint training synchronization, and deliver effective knowledge management (KM) solutions that enable training excellence and operational coordination across DDJT activities. This position requires proactive engagement with senior military and government personnel and provides high-visibility support to planning and training initiatives across the Joint Staff.

In this role, you will manage knowledge and information flows, support joint training synchronization, and deliver effective knowledge management (KM) solutions that enable training excellence and operational coordination across DDJT activities. This position requires proactive engagement with senior military and government personnel and provides high-visibility support to planning and training initiatives across the Joint Staff.
In this role, you will:
- Manage the Out-of-Cycle Requirements process for emerging joint training support.
- Oversee development and distribution of Joint Event Training Handbooks.
- Support planning and execution of Joint Training Synchronization Conferences.
- Provide data analysis, reporting, and operational liaison support.
- Maintain shared drives, library systems, and SharePoint portals for document control and knowledge sharing.
- Write weekly activity reports and coordinate inputs from stakeholders.
- Deliver desk-side training and support for KM practices and software use.
- Optimize use of SharePoint and Microsoft Office tools for workflow and collaboration.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to KM processes and implement solutions with minimal technical overhead.

One of the following education and experience combinations:
- High school diploma or GED with at least 7 years of professional experience; or
- Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of professional experience; or
- Master's degree with at least 1 year of professional experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in Microsoft SharePoint environments.
- Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
- Ability to obtain a valid U.S. Passport.
- Willing and able to travel CONUS and OCONUS (up to 10%).
- Able to work on-site in Suffolk, Virginia.
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision in dynamic environments.
- Skilled in facilitating group sessions, seminars, or training workshops.
- Experienced in engaging with senior military, government, and contractor personnel.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead knowledge management practices and support user training.
- Familiarity with data organization, KM strategy, and information analysis.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- Military background as a commissioned or non-commissioned officer, or DoD civilian.
- Current TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience with the U.S. Military Joint Training System.
- Prior work in Combatant Command exercises or Joint Staff planning.
- Experience as a SharePoint Administrator or Instructor.
- Skilled in leading and organizing working groups.
