Adventure Technology Services is a small IT contractor headquartered in Hanover, MD that provides high-level solutions to Federal Government customers and is always looking for high-quality professionals to join our team.

Position Title: Software Engineer Level 3

Required Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph

Location: Annapolis Junction

Description:

Modernize a customer focused web-based application, M.E.T.R.I.C.S system, as part of an overall mission approvement program. Candidate will be part of a three person dev team that will modernize the existing M.E.T.R.I.C.S system, currently built in pearl. The current team uses agile applications development in support of Mission Assurance. Mission will be to modernize the back end in Java along with the front end look and feel.

Able to create and work in "GUI's". Must know Pearl (Python or C++ will be accepted in place of Pearl since the languages are very similar) and Javascript. Understanding back and front end development

Education & Related Experience:

Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Salary ranges are determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to:

Knowledge, skills, & abilities Years of experience

Education/Certifications Program placement

Duties & responsibilities Internal equity

OVERTIME STATEMENT:

40 hours is the standard workweek. Some programs may allow additional hours to be worked as needed. A limited number of programs have on-call requirements where compensation is provided for being engaged to wait. In all circumstances, technical employees will be paid for all time worked.

BONUS STATEMENT:
All billable employees are eligible to earn quarterly bonuses that are based on the number of hours worked for that period. This hourly requirement is roughly 92% of hours available to bill in a given quarter. Quarterly Hours Bonuses are paid out on the same payroll as the time worked in that prior quarter (typically 21 days after the quarter ends.)
