Description
SAIC is seeking a Test & Evaluation Systems Engineer to join the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons & Guided Munitions Division (E20) to support software development of Naval gun weapons systems in Dahlgren, VA. The Systems Engineer will develop and design data analysis procedures, methods and tools to review and analyze data from various testing efforts. Job responsibilities will include designing and developing analysis material, analyzing data as well and preparing reports and present the findings of the analysis to help in proving system methods, capabilities and readiness of the system.

Qualifications
Education and experience:
- Bachelors in an engineering, scientific or technical discipline and five (5) years of experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Required skills:
- Knowledge and experience using R software.
- Experience using Python.
- Testing and evaluation experience.
- Data Analyst experience.
- Experience related to gun weapon systems and/or Army/Navy programs.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of team members on the project.
- Ability to work independently and interface professionally with other government agencies, contractors, military personnel.
- Ability to define task details, estimates, and schedules using Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word).
Required clearance:
- Must have an active Secret security clearance.
Desired skills:
- Experience with Hyper Velocity Weapons preferred.
- Experience with MATLAB.
- Familiarity with research and development projects a plus.
