Position Description
Serco is seeking a Network Communications Manager 1 to support the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The selected candidate will lead the Network Support Team (NST) and play a vital role in establishing and maintaining robust network architecture to support installation operations and training events.

Serco is seeking a Network Communications Manager 1 to support the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The selected candidate will lead the Network Support Team (NST) and play a vital role in establishing and maintaining robust network architecture to support installation operations and training events.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the NST in providing efficient communication architecture for the installation network.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement communications plans for exercise support.
- Configure communication equipment and implement cybersecurity processes.
- Support equipment and circuit installation for exercises.
- Collaborate with the MTC ISSO and ISSM to maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) under the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Network Management or a related field with at least 8 years of experience in network architecture design and implementation; OR
- Master's degree in Network Management or related field with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in:
- Microsoft server platform planning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Cisco router, switch, and firewall configuration.
- SONET configuration and architecture.
- Product lines such as Cisco, Fujitsu, Hewlett Packard, and Tripwire.
- RMF Assess and Authorize process and cybersecurity requirements.
- Must obtain IAT Level II Certification within 180 days of employment.
- Active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, firewalls, security, storage, and backup systems.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to support 24/7 operations during exercises, including non-standard shifts and overtime.
- Must work on-site at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and travel up to 25% as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Technical leadership in designing and maintaining secure network systems.
- Experience supporting dynamic, real-time training environments.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Flexibility to respond to operational demands, including off-hours support.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- CompTIA certifications such as Security+, Network+, and A+.
- Vendor certifications including CCNA, Windows Server, and Red Hat Linux.
