Position Description

Serco is seeking a Sr. Principal Military Trainer - Mission Command Systems Training Lead to join our growing team at Camp Atterbury near Edinburgh, Indiana, supporting the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP). This exciting role leads a team of professional instructors, ensuring excellence in mission command systems training and technical support to military units.

In this role, you will:
  • Supervise a team of Individual Computer-Based Trainers, ensuring delivery of world-class instruction aligned with approved Programs of Instruction (POIs).
  • Provide reach-back support to Individual Training staff at spoke sites.
  • Ensure all Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) are loaded with the latest software versions and training equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
  • Manage scheduling of courses and oversee cross-training and professional development of the team.
  • Prepare MCIS briefing materials for supported Mission Command Training audiences.
  • Ensure readiness of the team to support simulation exercises using WARSIM and other simulation systems.
  • Provide over-the-shoulder MCIS support during exercises.
  • Assist in the training delivery for supported classes as needed.


Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of MCIS teaching experience, or
  • Master's degree with a minimum of 8 years of MCIS teaching experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Command Post Operations experience.
  • Active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
  • Extensive experience in Training Development Analysis, Plans of Instruction writing, and technical writing.
  • Analytical subject matter expertise on the CPCE and MCIS Integration in support of Mission Command Training.
  • Strong background integrating various MCIS including CPCE, AFATDS, AMDWS, TAIS, GCCS-A, JADOCS, Command Web, Tactical Messaging, WAVE, and JBC-P.
  • Working knowledge of simulation systems such as JLCCTC and DXTRS.
  • May be required to obtain Network+ certification depending on MCIS expertise.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Must be able to work on-site at Camp Atterbury near Edinburgh, Indiana.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Expertise in training and mentoring military personnel in mission command systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and training activities simultaneously.

Additional desired experience and skills:
  • Current Network+ certification.
