This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team of professionals committed to enhancing Department of Defense (DoD) operational readiness through advanced network communications systems.
In this role, you will:
- Design and plan network communications systems.
- Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
- Offer detailed information for hardware and software selection and implementation techniques to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
- Conduct testing of network designs to ensure effective implementation.
- Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, including routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateways.
- Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Network Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, IT, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience; or Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience; or 9+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience in lieu of a degree.
- Active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
- Willingness to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time).
Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Network Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, IT, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience; or Master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience; or 12+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience in lieu of a degree.
- Active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
- Willingness to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time).
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong knowledge of network engineering design and implementation.
- Technical expertise in communication hardware and software integration.
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- Cisco, Juniper, or CompTIA network certifications.
- Experience supporting classified DoD or AFMS3 environments.
