Visionist has an exciting new opportunity for a Full Stack Engineer. In this role, you will help transition a prototype large language model (LLM) framework into a scalable, production-ready system supporting thousands of users. You'll play a key role in architecting a premier, enterprise-level frontier LLM capability for developers, analysts, and leadership within a critical defense organization. You will design and build the infrastructure needed to enable secure, compliant interaction with the LLM, and work closely with the technical lead to migrate prototype tooling into a resilient, production-grade environment on AWS. Additionally, you'll be responsible for developing new features for the LLM's front-end interface-where users submit questions, track conversations, and manage their interactions with the model.

Your contributions are...
- Support the transition of a prototype LLM front end and middleware stack to AWS infrastructure
- Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of the user interface "front door" to the LLM system
- Design and maintain responsive, user-friendly interfaces for AI-powered applications
- Implement new features and requirements across the LLM's communication and business logic layers
- Monitor and evaluate application performance, identifying areas for optimization
- Learn and apply modern front-end technologies to seamlessly integrate AI functionality into the UI
- Contribute to full-stack development tasks, including API integrations, under senior technical guidance
- Enhance application responsiveness and efficiency on the client side
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in UI/UX design and front-end development
- Collaborate closely with developers, UX designers, and data scientists to deliver intuitive, effective user experiences
Requirements for your new career...
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- 8 years of experience in software development
- AWS Certified Cloud Developer Associate (or comparable certification)
- Production-grade software development experience in an enterprise language (Java, Python)
- Experience building and maintaining a user interface that interacts with a REST backend (ReactJS, Angular)
