Position Overview:
EFMS seeks a Mendix Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the development and deployment of Low-Code Application Platform (LCAP) solutions supporting the USCG VIDA DMS. This role will play a critical part in architecting, implementing, and sustaining Mendix-based capabilities in a secure cloud environment, aligned with Agile principles and DevSecOps best practices.

Position Overview:
EFMS seeks a Mendix Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the development and deployment of Low-Code Application Platform (LCAP) solutions supporting the USCG VIDA DMS. This role will play a critical part in architecting, implementing, and sustaining Mendix-based capabilities in a secure cloud environment, aligned with Agile principles and DevSecOps best practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Architect scalable, secure Mendix applications aligned with VIDA DMS functional and technical requirements.
- Develop with Studio Pro using Microflows, Nanoflows, reusable modules, and domain modeling.
- Integrate Mendix with legacy and modern USCG systems via secure APIs and CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement RBAC, SAML 2.0 CAC, and namespace/multi-tenant configurations per government standards.
- Support FedRAMP Moderate compliance through automation, scanning, and security documentation.
- Contribute to sprint planning, backlog management, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies.
- Provide documentation, training input, and UAT support to operational stakeholders.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field OR equivalent experience
- 8+ years of total development experience, including 3+ years with Mendix
- Experience with Mendix in IL2 or IL4 environments
- Proficiency in Microflows, page modeling, Java/JavaScript custom actions, and data integration
- Familiarity with RMF, ATO, and NIST 800-53 Rev. 5 controls
- Hands-on experience with Agile practices and DevSecOps tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform)
Desired Qualifications:
- Mendix Advanced or Expert Certification
- Experience with HERMN-aligned federal DevSecOps pipelines
- Experience deploying Mendix in AWS GovCloud (EKS, IAM, KMS, CloudFront)
- Familiarity with AWS services: S3, RDS, Cognito, API Gateway
- Knowledge of Section 508/WCAG 2.1 AA compliance
- Experience developing training and documentation for enterprise software systems
Pay Range:
$130-175k
