Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Preventive Maintenance Electrical Technician to lead and perform advanced preventive maintenance on a wide range of electrical systems and equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical infrastructure through proactive inspections, testing, diagnostics, and repairs.

 Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and execute preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems and equipment.
  • Perform advanced inspections and diagnostics on electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, panels, and power distribution components.
  • Test and evaluate electrical systems using load testing, insulation testing, and thermal imaging tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment reliability.
  • Maintain and service electrical components including:
  • Motor control centers (MCCs)
  • Unit substations
  • Power distribution units (PDUs)
  • Transformers
  • Lighting systems
  • Circuit breakers
  • Switchgear
  • Variable speed drives (VSDs)
  • Motors
  • Building automation systems (BAS)
  • Document inspection results, maintenance activities, and diagnostic findings in maintenance management systems.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless equipment functionality and compliance with operational goals.
  • Support the identification of parts and tools needed for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Comply with safety protocols and ensure all work aligns with electrical codes and regulatory requirements.


Basic Qualifications
  • TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
  • Completion of a formal automotive training program or vocational school certification.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as motor analyzers, pressure gauges, and chassis charts.
  • Skilled in disassembly, repair, and reassembly of engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with preventive and routine maintenance tasks across a variety of vehicles, including automobiles, trucks, buses, motorcycles, and forklifts.
  • Working knowledge of automotive systems including braking, lighting, steering, suspension, and electrical wiring.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow technical manuals, service guides, and safety procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics as related to vehicle systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and failure analysis capabilities.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in relevant areas (e.g., brakes, engines, electrical/electronic systems).
  • Advanced knowledge of cooling systems, fuel systems, and emissions control systems.
  • Experience leading or mentoring junior technicians or mechanics.
  • Familiarity with fleet management practices or large-scale vehicle maintenance operations.
  • Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient maintenance practices and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and apply them to complex maintenance tasks.
  • Understanding of DOT, OSHA, or other applicable vehicle safety and inspection standards.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills for reporting maintenance findings and repairs.

Pay Range: Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00
