AEITS, Inc. is seeking a Configuration Manager Level 3 to manage and maintain configuration control over complex systems and software baselines.



In this position, you will support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. This role involves establishing and enforcing configuration management policies and procedures across the project lifecycle, ensuring all changes are systematically controlled and documented in alignment with industry standards and organizational goals.





Mission: As a Configuration Manager supporting this government program, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, consistency, and traceability of complex systems and software throughout the development lifecycle. Your mission is to implement and manage robust configuration management practices that support project success, enable effective change control, and maintain compliance with organizational and industry standards.





Location: Annapolis Junction, MD



All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.







Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph





Certifications:



CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent IAT Level II certification)

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator



Requirements:



U.S. Citizenship

TS/SCI with Polygraph

Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university

Minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a Configuration Manager (CM) on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity

If assigned to a developmental program, at least one (1) year of experience using a source code control system within a similar development environment is required

Develop and implement configuration management plans, processes, and procedures

Manage configuration control boards (CCB) and document decisions regarding changes to baselines

Maintain configuration status accounting and perform audits to verify consistency with requirements

Track and manage software and hardware configuration items (CIs) throughout the system lifecycle

Use source code control systems to manage version control and integrity of developmental products

Coordinate closely with development, operations, quality assurance, and integration teams to ensure compliance and traceability

Support the development and maintenance of technical documentation in support of change requests and baseline management

Ability to become certified as a Data Transfer Agent (DTA).





Desired Skills:



Experience with one or more ServiceNow modules:

CAM (Cloud Asset Management)

RMF (Risk Management Framework)

GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance)

SecOps (Security Operations)

Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 standards

Deep understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Previous experience in a DoD or highly regulated environment



Education and Required Qualification



Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university and minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a Configuration Manager (CM) on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity



Substitution Options:



An additional four (4) years of CM experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree

A Master's degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience, reducing the required total to six (6) years



** If assigned to a developmental program, one (1) year of experience using a source code control system for a developmental program of similar scope and complexity is required. **







Travel



Less than 10% of travel may occur.
