Position Description:
We are seeking a Solution Architect (Information Technology / Operational Technology) to join our CGI team!
This is a full-time career opportunity in supporting a leading global client at the client site in the Salt Lake City area. You will be required to be at the client site 2-3 days/week in South Jordan, UT.
You will be part of definition, estimation, and deployment major projects for America regions within the IT group. Your key involvement will be during project initiation phase. You will support project teams during requirement gathering phase, solution selection process, proof of concept execution, high level and detailed architecture design documentation, solution approval by the enterprise architecture committee, and project execution team as technical expert. If selected, you will report to the Strategy and Architecture leadership.
You will be responsible for technical and integration aspects of the project with the support of other IT technical experts (solution architect, network, server, applications, data, ).
Your future duties and responsibilities:
How you'll make an impact
Work with demand management team, project managers and business analysts to identify internal clients' needs and translate them into technical requirements
With support of other technical experts, identify the potential solutions to meet identified requirement based on company standards
Provide effort estimate for technical deliverables
Develop and get the approval for the high-level architecture design and the detailed design of the solutions
When required, execute proof of concept, and participate to the deployment of the proposed solutions
Review proposed architecture done by our external partners
Execute quality assurance activity on technical deliverables done by project team
Reuse and promote utilization of standard and known solutions to simplify and accelerate the solution estimation and selection
Support the transition of the solution to the operation teams
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
What you'll bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
10 years of experience as IT and I&OT Infrastructure expert
5 years of experience as solution architecture on IT or I&OT projects
Excellent knowledge of I&OT infrastructure and application solutions used in underground and surface mining industry
Excellent skills to summarize and present complex solution
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
Excellent collaboration, influencing and negotiation abilities
Bachelors degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
Minimum Education Required: Associates Degree

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $111,600.00 - $219,600.00.
