OVERVIEW:
SDV International is seeking an AI/ML Solutions Architect & Program Lead to serve as both a technical expert and strategic leader for AI/ML and cybersecurity programs supporting federal clients. This is a high-impact hybrid role requiring deep technical knowledge in artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, and software engineering—paired with proven experience leading cross-functional teams, managing government contracts, and engaging directly with stakeholders.
POSITION DUTIES:
AI/ML & Data Science Duties
Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure AI/ML models
Evaluate data readiness, curate training/test datasets, and optimize models
Implement CI/CD pipelines for AI operations (AI Ops)
Conduct adversarial AI assessments and ensure operational robustness
Apply applied data science for mission analysis and solution design
Perform model governance, validation, sustainment, and impact analysis
Software & Systems Engineering
Engineer modular, testable, reusable software components and AI algorithms
Apply secure coding practices across lifecycle (DevSecOps)
Conduct system security engineering and software testing (DT&E, OT&E)
Integrate AI models into operational systems and federated architectures
Support systems maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle sustainment
Cybersecurity & Risk Management
Implement security controls and support Authority to Operate (ATO)
Conduct cyber analytics and vulnerability assessments
Manage cybersecurity risk across networks, tools, and data environments
Engineer security into AI models and supporting systems
Project Management Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for client engagements and delivery execution
Manage complex, multi-task projects including scope, schedule, and budget
Provide technical oversight to development teams and ensure mission alignment
Coordinate agile development efforts, backlog prioritization, and sprint planning
Support customer communications, reporting, and stakeholder engagement
Ensure compliance with Authority to Operate (ATO), cybersecurity, and federal standards
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Active TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
10+ years of relevant experience in IT and AI/ML project management
7+ years of hands-on AI/ML development and deployment experience
Demonstrated expertise in:
AI/ML model lifecycle management
Data engineering and applied data science
Secure software development and DevSecOps
Cybersecurity practices, ATO processes, and risk assessments
Managing complex, multi-task government projects
Strong experience supporting federal clients (DoD, IC, or similar)
Extensive experience with MLOps platforms, containerization, and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) and project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to brief technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical teams in high-pressure environments
Familiarity with AI-related compliance, bias mitigation, and ethical AI practices is a plus
PREFERRED:
Master’s Degree in a related technical field
Certifications such as PMP, CISM, CISSP, or AWS/Azure Certified ML Engineer
Experience with adversarial testing frameworks and AI red teaming
Experience working in classified environments or on cross-agency initiatives
