JOB SUMMARY: MCSG is seeking an Operations Planner - Cyberspace Liaison (LNO) for the USSF Exercise team at Schriever SFB, CO. The Cyberspace LNO collaborates with the internal SF team and external stakeholders to deliver Cyberspace subject matter expertise to USSF exercises, such as Space Flag. The Space Flag exercise is a mission planning exercise designed to prepare tactical-level space operators to execute operations in a realistic, contested, degraded, and operationally limited (CDO) environment against a thinking and determined adversary. Location: This position requires on-site support at Schriever SFB, CO.  



PRIMARY DUTIES:

Serves as the 392d Combat Training Squadron (CTS) Cyberspace LNO to Delta 6 in support of USSF exercises
Assists Delta 6 unit POCs with drafting advanced training objectives (TOs) and developing and planning unit involvement in USSF exercises
Assists with scenario development to meet defensive cyberspace operations-type TOs
Coordinates cyber support and manning requirements with USSF exercise planners
Interacts with cyberspace units (e.g., Del 6, 318 RANS, Aggressors) on a regular basis to identify opportunities where 392 CTS can integrate cyber M&S capabilities into SF exercises
Identifies gaps and shortfalls in Cyberspace Range (e.g., 318 RANS) tools needed to provide timely, realistic USSF exercise capabilities
Provides assistance during planning conferences, coordination meetings, training events, etc.
Participates as part of the Exercise Control Group (ECG) and White Cell
Captures, analyzes, and reports observations and lessons learned identified during the design, planning, and execution of USSF exercises
Supports hot wash debriefs and After Action Report development after each USSF exercise
Prepares event-related documents (i.e., trip reports, exercise planning/execution products, after-action reports lessons learned meeting minutes) within established time frames
Provides accurate and timely responses to 392 CTS tasks and coordinates responses in accordance with command policies and procedures
Carries out tasks as directed by contract leadership required to ensure 392 CTS mission success.


REQUIREMENTS:

Experience (within the last five years) coordinating and executing defensive cyberspace procedures in support of Service or Joint operations
Experience working in DoD defensive cyber operations
Limited travel (less than 3 weeks/year)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Understanding of current DoD cyber defense policy and doctrine
Experience using simulated cyber capabilities or tools to plan or execute defensive cyber training




RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 10-15 years of operational cyberspace experience.



EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.



SECURITY CLEARANCE: Top Secret/SCI with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility.
