DVS is looking for an SAS Developer to support our team in Huntsville, AL. This position requires an active Secret clearance or is eligible to obtain a clearance.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled SAS Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in collecting, analyzing, and manipulating data to understand current projects and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya programs and applications
• Create solutions for data integration, distribution, and management
• Collaborate with other developers, analysts, and end users to identify requirements and develop solutions
• Perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure accurate data
• Design and build SAS data warehouses and databases
• Develop and maintain process documentation
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Experience with SAS programming (DATA step and PROC SQL), SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Studio, Stored Process Web Application and SAS Macro Language
• Proficient in SQL and databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Teradata
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Able to work independently and in a team environment

Physical and Mental Qualifications:

• Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours.
• Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard)
• Able to lift up to 15 pounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language
