Program Summary
KBR sustains the operational well-being of U.S. Armed Forces at Djibouti, Africa, Camp Lemonnier Naval Base. Our services encompass program management, contingency and expeditionary, asset management and recreation support, postal operations, safety services, logistics, and more. Job Summary
Assume role as the full-time CDDAR Program Manager; responsible for the development and implementation of a crash recovery program designed to remove crashed, damaged, or disabled aircraft in a minimum amount of time in order to minimize impact re-open for operational use; program must be in accordance with NAVAIR 00-80R-20, NATOPS U.S. Navy Aircraft Crash & Salvage Operations Manual (Ashore), and the local Aircraft Pre-Mishap Plan.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Identify and designate personnel as salvage team members to assist host and/or tenant units in the recovery of aircraft.
• Ensure availability and readiness of on-station salvage team members for all simulated salvage exercises and real-world events.
• Provide first line supervision to transient alert team providing airfield facilities services; services include but are not limited to arrival services, "follow-me" services, aircraft parking, airfield support services, aircraft towing services, ground support equipment (GSE) services, aircraft start up services, departure services, aircraft salvage services, and FOD prevention.
• Assist management in the execution of management of terminal manpower, staffing schedules, training records, and personnel accountability.
• Assist management with submission of contract deliverables, enforcement of safety and quality, and ensuring proper utilization, maintenance, and accountability of all U.S. government and contractor provided equipment.
• Perform transient alert duties as required.
• Use international hand signals or hand signals from OPNAVINST 00-80T-13 marshal aircraft into assigned parking, account for obstacle obstruction and minimum wingtip clearances.
• Provide management and oversight of prior permission required (PPR) program, coordinate with N32 Air Operations team for assignment of transient aircraft and to prevent exceeding parking/working MOG
• Enter PPR information into PPR management system and update parking plan as appropriate to mission change.
• Assist flight crews with flight plan submission.
• Obtain and maintain flight information publications (FLIP) account; keep FLIP publications up to date.
• Provide management and oversight of foreign object debris (FOD) prevention program (in accordance with NAVAIR 00-80T-124).
• Provide (and lead team in providing) instruction for airfield vehicle operator's course (airfield driving) to all personnel required to operate on the airfield.
• Perform other duties not outlined in this job description as required by the performance work statement (PWS) and/or as directed by management.
• Provides support to other departments within Air Operations as mission dictates and/or as directed by management.
Requirements
• (Preferred) Four years' experience performing crashed, damaged, or disabled aircraft recovery (CDDAR) duties; OR equivalent experience managing airfield-related programs such as FOD prevention, airfield driving, or aircraft recovery.
• Five years' supervisory or management experience.
• Four years' experience providing transient alert services.
• Two years' experience with international or military marshaling hand signals.
• Two years' experience operating ground support equipment (GSE).
• Computer literate, good command of Microsoft Office applications.
Additional Requirements
• Must be United States Citizen
• Must hold (or be eligible to hold) a Secret security clearance.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity and with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining.
• Must possess driver's license with at least 6 months of remaining validity; validity must be maintained in this position.
