Job Description:
* The successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team as a RF communications hardware designer and tester.
* The successful candidate should be interested in the inter-disciplinary nature of the cyber-physical problem space and be willing to develop new expertise in the pursuit of solving unconventional problems.
* Your future projects will focus on prototype applications in the wireless domain.
* As a key member of our team, you will contribute to prototype design, development, and testing, including hardware and instrumentation software.
Required skills include:
* Knowledge of wireless technology and communications systems
* Ability to analyze and resolve highly complex technical problems quickly and independently
* RF/Analog circuit and power conversion circuit design
* Experience with electrical concepts pertaining to wireless communication transmitter and receiver processing chains
* Experience with mechanical concepts pertaining to RF power circuits
* Experience with MATLAB, Python, and gnuradio
* Experience with software defined radios (SDRs) or other communications systems, and applying signal processing techniques to these systems
* RF/Microwave lab skills with proficiency in the operation of lab equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, multi-meter, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, digitizer, arbitrary waveform generator, synthesizer, etc.)
* A BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience in the field
Desired skills include:
* Familiarity with radio-frequency (RF) phenomenology, electronics, and unintended RF emissions
* Installing, deploying and testing of RF equipment and systems
* An interest in field test deployments and experiment design
* Documenting designs and keeping records of development, procurements and shipments
* Providing technical support and advice to colleagues and sponsors
* Familiarity with applied AI concepts
