Security Systems Engineer/Applications Engineer

Echelon Services is currently seeking a full-time security systems engineer with strong technical skills and experience in electronic security systems (ESS). Candidate will work directly with the customer on configuring and maintaining various access control systems (ACS), video surveillance systems (VSS), intrusion detection systems (IDS), intercom systems and maintenance of other ESS components. The position is a hybrid and involves on-site work in the Echelon Manassas, VA office and at customer sites throughout the region.

• Manage physical security system support to meet service level agreements
• Analyze physical security system performance and recommend improvements
• Resolve complex system issues for physical security systems and networks
• Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors and technical specialists
• Train system users and other system support personnel
• Perform desktop hardware and operating system set-up, imaging software loading, and setup
• Provides proper training to workers to implement operating procedures, safety protocols, and avoid system malfunctions
• Work with Project Managers and engineers for security design and integration. Utilizing the Company's processes and procedures to effectively and efficiently managing resources, scope, budget, timelines and quality
• Provide technical support to field technicians and operational staff
• Other duties as assigned

Qualification

• At least 8 years of combined experience with the installation , maintenance, or programming of Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, and Video Management Systems.
• At least 3 years of experience with Access Control System programing and administration.
• At least 2 years of experience creating technical documentation, including design documents and reference libraries.
• At least 5 years of experience working independently with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Must have an excellent safety record, a valid driver's license, and clean driving record to meet corporate eligibility requirements to drive a company owned vehicle as necessary.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs, work at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders
• Ability to walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
• Active Secret (Top Secret preferred) clearance is required

Salary at Echelon Services is determined by several factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $160,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Echelon's total compensation package for employees.
