Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a part time (civilian) Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) at our Dumfries Health Center at the ATAMMC (Dumfries Ambulatory Health Center) - in Dumfries, Virginia. This opportunity will support active military members, veterans and their dependents.
Job Details:
- Part time - 24 hours/week (Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4PM); 4-6 hour days - Flexible scheduling
- Located in outpatient OB/GYN clinic
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors Degree
- Experience: 2 years of experience as a lactation consultant (preferably in OB/GYN and Women's Health setting)
- License / Certifications:
- Possess a certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
- Current BLS certification
- Must furnish immunizations
- Must be a U.S citizen (proof required)
- Must have knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry and automated medical records.
- Ability to develop lactation classes and support groups.
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct group lactation/feeding classes
- Provide resources and support to moms with lactation/feeding concerns
- Be a resource to the OB/GYN healthcare providers
