Salary range - $200,000 - $240,000

Provided - Housing, vehicle, $165/day for "Meals and Incidental Expenses" and 20% extra OCONUS pay
SUMMARY:
The On-site Technical Lead/Solutions Architect will lead Enterprise IT and Cyber Solution/Deployment projects, mentor team(s) of diverse engineering disciplines, administrators, mentors, and will oversee project implementation in accordance with the design. Responsible for engineering management processes, deploying enterprise-scale services for Network, End User Services, Cybersecurity Operations and Sustainment. Will support the project manager in assuring project schedules, project performance and execution, reporting, project deliverables, budgeting and controlling project costs. Will oversee the knowledge transfer and operational stand-up of network and cybersecurity operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as the technical and site lead on large, complex projects and provides technical advice/input that impact successful contract execution across the enterprise solution.
- Works closely with the DAWSON Program Manager and PMO to provide services and projects that adhere to quality, schedule, performance, and budget constraints.
- Collaborates with the project manager, other engineers, technical staff and project stakeholders to align key initiatives to ensure proper project support and resourcing.
- Works closely with stakeholders and other Senior Leaders (to include foreign customers) regarding Project IT/Cyber strategy, policies, procedures, compliance, relative and solution architectures, etc.
- Resolves highly complex and multi-dimensional problems requiring consideration of variables that affect multiple aspects of the project/program. Problems range from high impact operational events to tactical corrections.
- Teams with project manager to acquire and employ project resources, and mentors and coaches project technical staff members
- Conducts peer reviews and audits of systems, appliances, services, and documentation
- Hands-on architect who can develop, coach fellow integrators, perform informal/formal reviews of integrated technology and can provide clear direction to engineers
- Ensures quality artifacts/documentation detailing strategy, architecture and adoption, process/system flows, sequence diagrams, logical/reference architecture, solution architecture, capabilities model, standards, Key Performance Indicators, etc.
- Defines the architecture & design principles, standards and processes for the team
- Develops and implements security designs for new or existing enclave system(s).
- Implements reporting requirements to maintain teamwide and leadership awareness of milestones, risks, and triggers
- Works with project manager to establish project schedule, identifies milestones, and key performance indicators
- Provides risk measures and reports project risks, execution performance, and success to the project manager and DAWSON IT & Cyber Solutions leadership.
- Drives solutions implementation in an agile framework, writes Epics, User Stories, Initiatives, etc. & manages the technology/architecture backlog
- Understands the technology stack inside and out and provides vision, strategy, guidance to leaders and individual developers.
- Analyzes current trends in the technology architecture field and provides recommendations
- Evaluates applications for compliance with both enterprise and business standards
- Determines viability of architecture as related to organizational changes
- Serves as Architecture Capability Lead supporting/leading multiple programs architecture requirements
- Supports business capture team's development of the technical solution for submission, government presentations, negotiations and advance preparations.
- Responsible for leading the successful technical startup and project transition, to include establishing the engineering team.
- Works closely with the DAWSON Project Manager and government Program Management Office (PMO) to provide services and projects that adhere to quality, schedule, performance, and budget.
- Works closely with the PMO and stakeholders' senior leaders (to include foreign customers) regarding IT strategy, architecture, and service delivery.
- Affects Service Delivery by developing new solutions, processes, standards or operational plans that lead to successful execution and continuous improvement.
- Resolves highly complex and multi-dimensional problems requiring consideration of variables that affect multiple aspects of the project/program in a team setting. Problems range from high impact operational events to tactical corrections.

- Designs and deploys key enterprise services such as Virtual Desktops, Email, Messaging and Collaboration Services

- DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management
- Network Time Protocol
- Print and File Services
- Directory Services
- Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
- Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI, Virtualization)
- Software Defined Networking & Software as a Service Solutions
- System and Network Monitoring and Management
- Hybrid cloud and on-premises implementation
- Provides inputs on performance of technical team to the project manager for annual or other evaluation cycles and provides in-person feedback to technical team.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, but the technical manager will oversee day-to-day task performance, approve team members' time-off based on project priorities, organize and direct workloads and priorities of technical team and operations mentors in partnership with the project manager and key leadership. Further, the technical manager will provide the administrative supervisor (project manager) inputs for technical team members' regular assessments, as part of a matrixed organizational structure.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, providing hiring inputs, mentoring, training, and evaluating and providing feedback on employee performance of 8 to 12 employees
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's in a science-related field such as Cyber Security Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent is required or hold a minimum of 12 years of relevant project and technical management experience
- Certificates, licenses and registrations required:
- Meets the IASAE II and/or IAT II (min) baseline certification, in accordance with DoD8140
- ITIL Foundations or Intermediate Certificates
- Any other applicable Systems Engineering Certificates (e.g. Defense Acquisition University)
- Agile Program Management Certification
- Other skills required:
- 12-15+ years IT/Cyber or engineering and management experience
- 5+ years as a Chief Solutions Architect and/or Chief Engineer role for IT/Cyber Technology
- 5+ years of experience managing a team of technical/engineering professionals within successful IT/Cyber projects and operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to work with and influence customer, Stakeholders and program office to achieve success
- Ability to work with foreign nationals to achieve success
- Experience with standard system engineering lifecycle concepts, architectural frameworks and artifacts to produce working solutions.
- Capable of presenting complicated concepts and course of action to Government and DAWSON leadership
- Experience producing business cases for government projects and experience estimating project work as well as operations and sustainment.
- Architectural experience with current network topologies such as Wide Area Network (WAN)/Local Area Network (LAN)/Campus Area Network (CAN)
- Architectural and hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, hyperconverged technologies such as VXRail, operating systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows, Windows roles such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, emerging network and enterprise IT technologies including, but not limited to automation technologies and approaches, end user computing, software-defined solutions)
- Ability to live or work overseas for an extended amount of time
- Ability to travel on an as needed basis
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Project Management Professional
- Relevant certifications for Networking and Cybersecurity such as: Security+ or Network+
- Agile Program Management Certification
- Experience consolidating diverse IT operations and developing managed services
- Experience incorporating advanced IT operations capability such as site reliability engineering, Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps, Continuous Monitoring, and artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML)
- Direct experience with DISA Network and Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) programs
- Experience supporting DoD Services and Agencies and demonstrated understanding of the DoD mission
- Meets the IAT-III and/or IASAE-III baseline certification, in accordance with DoD8140
- Demonstrated specialized experience with implementing, engineering, architecting, designing or operating Enterprise Management technologies with an emphasis in DoD capabilities.
- Knowledge of U.S. Federal acquisition processes and competitive capture environments
- Experience leading design and implementation of complex enterprise management IT solutions on a large program ($50M+ total contract value).

- Candidate must be a US Citizen with a valid US Passport
- Must have an active or be able to obtain a US Secret or Higher DoD security clearance
- Candidate must be able to travel to Qatar or other overseas locations
